Welcome to Calaveras Hills High School!

Calaveras Hills High School, established in 1969, is an alternative high school serving 11th and 12th grade students in the Milpitas Unified School District. Our high school is fully accredited, and in 2003 received a clear, six-year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. In 2004, Calaveras Hills High School was designated a Model Continuation High School by the California State Department of Education. Calaveras Hills High School graduates must complete all District requirements adopted by the Milpitas Unified School District Board of Education. Students must complete 220 credits, pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) in language arts and mathematics and complete 20 hours of Community Service.

Our school is designed to offer a viable alternative to the traditional high school setting. We offer students the opportunity to complete their high school requirements in a personalized setting with individualized learning opportunities. We value every student’s culture, ethnicity, familial customs, and language and we respect the path that they have chosen for themselves. We nurture mutual respect and guide each student to respect themselves, their teachers, all adults, their classmates and their school. We challenge every student to do their best, and be their best. Students soon discover that Cal Hills is as unique as they are. We understand that high school can be demanding, but we give our students the tools they need to be successful.

We invite you to explore the unique opportunities provided at Calaveras Hills High School. It is truly an exceptional alternative to each student’s hope and aspiration of graduation from high school on time. We are committed to the goal of every student valued, challenged and successful.
